1. About this Notice
Amigomap is a trading name and business division of Halloterra (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/154512/07.
This Notice explains how Halloterra uses cookies, local storage, session storage and similar browser or device technologies on the Amigomap marketing website, account and authentication pages, MapMaker, viewer, published maps and related services.
This Notice must be read with the Amigomap Privacy Policy.
2. What these technologies are
A cookie is a small text file stored by a browser. Local storage and session storage allow a website or application to retain limited information in the browser. Similar technologies may be used by a website, application or service provider to provide security, maintain a session, remember a choice, deliver requested content or understand technical operation.
Some technologies are controlled directly by Halloterra. Others are controlled by independent service providers whose functionality is used by Amigomap. Provider-managed cookie names, technical identifiers and durations may change when a provider updates its service.
3. Categories currently used

4. Current service providers and external contexts
Amigomap uses third-party providers to deliver parts of the service. Merely contacting a third-party server does not necessarily mean that the provider sets a cookie, but the provider may receive ordinary technical request information such as an IP address, browser information, requested URL and timestamp.
- Clerk, for signup, sign-in, authentication, session management and account security;
- Paddle, for checkout, payment processing, fraud prevention, tax administration and buyer support;
- Mapbox, for map rendering, map data, geocoding and related mapping functionality;
- Cloudinary, for storage, processing and delivery of images, videos and other media;
- Google Fonts, where a Customer selects a supported externally hosted font for a map; and
- hosting, database, email, security and operational providers selected by Halloterra.
Those providers may process information or use their own cookies or similar technologies under their own contracts, privacy notices and cookie policies.

This inventory records the technologies and provider contexts confirmed from the current Amigomap implementation. Exact third-party cookie names and lifetimes may vary by provider, browser, region, provider configuration and software version.
6. Your choices and Cookie settings
Amigomap does not currently deploy optional analytics or advertising cookies, so there are presently no optional Amigomap cookie categories that need to be switched on or off through a consent-management panel.
You can use your browser settings to inspect, block or delete cookies and browser storage. Blocking or deleting strictly necessary authentication or security technologies may prevent signup, sign-in, checkout or parts of Amigomap from working correctly.
The permanent Cookie settings link on the Amigomap website currently directs to this section. If Amigomap introduces a consent-management platform for optional analytics or marketing technologies, that link will instead reopen the consent choices so that they can be changed or withdrawn.
Device permissions, including location permissions, are controlled separately through the browser or operating system.
7. Retention
Session cookies and session-storage items generally expire when the relevant session or browser-tab session ends, although an authentication provider may maintain a session for the period configured for the account.
Persistent local-storage preferences remain until they are removed by Amigomap, cleared by the user or browser, or no longer required. Third-party providers determine the duration of their own technologies under their applicable terms and configuration.
Halloterra will not retain a non-essential identifier longer than reasonably necessary for its disclosed purpose.

We may update this Notice when the service, providers or technologies change. The effective date identifies the current version.
