1. Scope
Amigomap is a trading name and business division of Halloterra (Pty) Ltd ("Halloterra").
This Policy applies to Customers, Authorised Users, Public Users and anyone who accesses or interacts with Amigomap. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
2. Lawful and respectful use
You must not use Amigomap to create, upload, publish, transmit, promote or facilitate:
- unlawful activity or material;
- fraud, impersonation, deceptive claims or misleading event information;
- harassment, threats, stalking, discrimination, exploitation or encouragement of violence;
- defamatory, obscene or grossly offensive content;
- malware, phishing, credential theft, spam or other harmful code or communications;
- infringement of copyright, trade marks, confidentiality, privacy, image rights or other rights;
- content or activities prohibited by the relevant merchant of record, payment provider or other applicable service provider where that prohibition affects Amigomap.
3. Privacy and personal information
- Do not upload or publish personal information unless you have a lawful, specific and proportionate reason.
- Do not disclose home addresses, live locations, private access points, children's information or sensitive information without appropriate authority and safeguards.
- Do not use maps, selected-access lists, comments or photographs for covert surveillance, stalking, profiling or discriminatory decision-making.
- Do not collect payment-card information, passwords, government identity numbers, health records or similarly high-risk data through map descriptions, comments or uploads unless Halloterra has expressly agreed in writing that the relevant feature and safeguards are suitable.
4. Mapping and event safety
- Do not knowingly publish materially false routes, closures, emergency instructions, access rules or safety information.
- Do not present Amigomap output as an official survey, cadastral record, emergency-dispatch instruction or guaranteed navigation route.
- Do not use Amigomap as the sole safety system for an event or activity.
- Obtain required landowner, municipal, event, image, drone, intellectual-property and privacy permissions.
5. Security and technical restrictions
You must not:
- probe, scan, test or exploit a vulnerability without Halloterra's prior written permission;
- bypass authentication, map-access rules, domain restrictions, usage admission, rate limits, seat limits or other controls;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt Amigomap or a provider;
- use bots, scraping, crawling or automated requests at a volume or manner that degrades the service or evades plan usage;
- reverse engineer, decompile or extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- upload malicious files or attempt unauthorised access to another Customer's content;
- remove required attribution, ownership, copyright or security notices.
6. Trials, plans and commercial misuse
- Do not create duplicate identities, organisations, email variations or domains to obtain repeated trials or avoid fees.
- Do not resell, sublicense, white-label or provide Amigomap as a service bureau unless the selected plan or a written agreement expressly allows it.
- Do not use published maps or embeds to operate a prohibited marketplace, payment scheme or illegal commercial service.
7. Public submissions
Comments and photographs must relate to the relevant map experience and must not contain spam, advertising, personal attacks, unlawful imagery or content submitted without permission.
A Customer administering a map must use moderation tools responsibly and respond to credible complaints about unlawful or rights-infringing content.
8. Enforcement
Halloterra may investigate suspected breaches and may remove content, limit functionality, suspend an account, preserve evidence, notify the Customer, contact a provider or authority, or terminate access where proportionate and lawful.
Where practicable, Halloterra will give notice and an opportunity to remedy a minor breach. Serious security abuse, fraud, illegality, threats or repeated violations may result in immediate action.
9. Reporting concerns
Report suspected abuse, security issues or rights violations to support@amigomap.com. Include the relevant map link, account or content details and a clear explanation.
